Patrick's practice focuses on land use, municipal, and environmental law and permitting, representing clients before Maine courts and in local, state, and federal proceedings. He serves as legal counsel for a number of Maine municipalities, advising them on zoning, permitting, licensing, employment and labor, litigation, and finance. He is the chair of Viridian's Municipal Practice Group.
In addition, Patrick works with a number of businesses in Maine's aquaculture industry, advising on issues such as permitting, compliance, contracts, employment, and litigation. He also counsels cannabis businesses and municipalities on Maine's adult use and medical cannabis laws.
Prior to joining Viridian, Patrick was a shareholder at Eaton Peabody, and prior to that Patrick was a Term Law Clerk for the Hon. John A. Woodcock, Jr., United States District Court, District of Maine.
Patrick serves on the Ellsworth City Council and on the Board of Directors for Healthy Acadia. He also provides pro bono legal services for the Conservation Law Foundation's Legal Food Hub. Patrick lives in Ellsworth with his wife and son. Patrick's hobbies include, but are not limited to, hiking, hunting, canoeing, disc golf, and spending time at his family's camp.
